SPE (PTY) LTD, a manufacturer of sheet metal products, electroplater of components, and powder coater of metal parts or completed products, successfully implemented the ISO 9001:2008 standard and was first certified by DQS. on the 15- 09- 2004.

Company Profile

S.P.E. (Pty) Ltd is an ISO 9001:2008 accredited (through DQS) jobbing shop that utilises state-of-the-art machinery to meet all your sheet metal production requirements. We manufacture goods in Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium. Because we do not have our own range of products we are able to focus all our attention on our clients’ needs and requirements.

We bridge the gap for companies, by providing a service for those who do not wish to invest in machinery, or whose job quantities do not validate the above mentioned.

We are able to accommodate the full range of production needs from the beginning of the process, such as laser cutting and punching up until powder coating and electroplating in our fully-automated plants. We ensure that your product has the quality finishes that you demand.

We believe in Cluster-style management system. The factory is split up into clusters headed by Production Controllers. Overseeing the Controllers is our Production Director and our Quality Manager. The secret of our success is that each department is accountable for the goods produced therein and the quality thereof.

Stainless Precision Engineering has been operating since 1989. We are a privately owned company with over 100 employees. The 6500m2 of factory floor space is home to:

1. Laser
   • 4 Off FO-3015 4KW lasers with a 3000 x 1500 bed: Cutting up to a maximum thickness of 20mm Mild Steel, 12mm Stainless Steel and 10mm Aluminium.
   • 1 Off FO-3015 4KW RI Laser with a 3000 x 1500 bed: Cutting Flat plate up to a maximum thickness of 20mm Mild Steel, 12mm Stainless Steel and 10mm Aluminium as well as 6 metre length sections as follows:
     
   • Round Pipe 19mm-220mm Diameter
   • Square Tube 19mm-150mm
   • Angle 90mm x 90mm Maximum
   • Channel 150mm Wide Maximum


2. Punch/Laser
   • 1 Off EMZ3610 (NT) 30-ton 49 station Turret punch press;
   • 1 Off EML3610 (NT) 30-ton Turret punch press with 4kw laser combination;
   • 1 Off Vipros 255 20-ton 55 station Turret punch press;


3. Bending
   • 2 Off HDS 8025 Press brake 7 axis 80-ton 2500mm;
   • 1 Off HDS 1303 Press brake 7 axis 130-ton 3000mm;
   • 1 Off FBD 1030 Press brake 5 axis 100-ton 3000mm;
   • 1 Off HFE 220 Press brake 7 axis 220-ton 4280mm;

8. Machining

9. Powder coating/ electroplating
   • 1 Off Fully-automated powder coating plants with 5-stage cleaning (maximum product size 500 wide x 1100 high x 6000 long);
   • 1 Off Fully-automated Panel powder coating plants with 5-stage cleaning (maximum product size 150 wide x 2000 high x 2000 long);
   • 1 Off Batch Oven (7000 long x 3000 high x 2400 wide);
   • 1 Off Stand alone fully-automated 5 stage cleaning plants;
   • 1 Off Sandblasting room;
   • 1 Off 13 stage Zinc Electro Plating Plants

Assembly, Wrapping & Dispatch

• Full assembly department;
• Automated wrapping machines, shrink wrap machines and conventional packing;
